Preliminary Task

For the preliminary task I worked in a group with Leanne, Becky and Beth. When the class responded back to our short clip we were given feedback to think about. Mostly we received positive comments such as the good storyline which meant that the meaning of our video was portrayed well to the viewer. Also we showcased a good match on action shot of Leanne walking into the room with the camera showing her from a point of view angle then a cutaway to her coming into the room from a mid shot angle. In addition to this throughout the clip we mostly used cutaways going back and forth between point of view angles of either character. To give a better sense of impact to the video we ended the clip on a close up of Leanne which ultimately gave the viewer a better insight into how her character was feeling. The use of me, who filmed most of the video, holding the camera with both hands, gave the majority of the clip the imaginary use of tripod thought in fact it was hand held. However a our big downfall to the whole video which in my opinion ruined the entire clip was the fact that where we filmed it in the common room the amount of noise which filled the space was heard on the tape. Therefore you could just about hear what the characters were saying. In future I should think more about the setting and if dialogue is crucial then to use a quieter space.
